James Conaboy was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, on May 25, 1971. He is married to the former Joette Krisiewicz. They are the parents of 2 children, Chloe (DOB 4/5/07) and Jake (DOB 1/26/09). He attended Villanova University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree, cum laude, in 1993. He received his Juris Doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law in 1996. He was admitted to the Bar of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Pennsylvania in 1996.

PRACTICE AREAS
Jim has become well known for his aggressive and successful representation of seriously injured clients. His personal injury practice focuses upon the areas of auto, truck, & motorcycle accidents, slip & fall, wrongful death, medical malpractice, construction accidents, burns, amputations, and product liability claims. Jim has regularly obtained substantial jury verdicts for his clients in both State and Federal Courts. In 2002, he obtained a verdict for a client which was believed to be one of the largest, if not the largest, verdict in a motor vehicle accident case in the history of Wyoming County.
Jim also regularly handles Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability claims. He is very experienced in these areas of practice, having received numerous favorable awards on behalf of seriously injured clients. Jim is often called upon to serve in leadership positions within the legal community. In 2009, he was elected President of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, an organization consisting of over 100 experienced trial lawyers. Jim is also the Chairperson of the Civil Rules Committee of the Lackawanna County Bar Association. Jim has been recognized by Law & Politics and Philadelphia Magazine as a "Pennsylvania Rising Star" every year since 2005. This peer recognition acknowledges the top 2.5% of lawyers statewide under the age of 40. |
